Uterus Cancer

Uterine cancer may cause discharge or bleeding that's not normal for you. Bleeding could also be abnormal due to how heavy it's or when it happens, like after you've got skilled menopause, between periods, or the other bleeding that is longer or heavier than is normal for you. Uterine cancer can also cause other symptoms, like pain or pressure in your pelvis.

Doctors don't know what causes endometrial cancer. What's known is that something occurs to make changes (mutations) within the DNA of cells within the endometrium — the liner of the uterus.

The mutation turns normal, healthy cells into abnormal cells. Healthy cells grow and multiply at a group rate, eventually dying at a group time. Abnormal cells grow and multiply out of control, and that they don't die at a group time. The accumulating abnormal cells form a mass (tumor). Cancer cells invade nearby tissues and may break away an initial tumor to spread elsewhere within the body (metastasize).
